Dr. Bernard Parham, MD
Dr. Bernard Parham is a native of Sumter, South Carolina. He was honorably discharged from the U.S. Army after serving three years as a combat medic. He later graduated from Alabama A&M University with a bachelor’s degree. He earned his MD degree from the University of Alabama Birmingham, and he completed his three-year residency in internal medicine at Emory University in Atlanta, Georgia. He is certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine and has practiced internal medicine in Chattanooga, Tennessee, for nearly 35 years.
Recognized often for his excellent compassionate care, Dr. Parham received the physician excellence award while practicing at Grady Hospital. The Tennessee managed care network also cited Dr. Parham for his excellent care, and he has received the humanitarian award from First Baptist Church of Chattanooga.
As a past president of Mountain City Medical Society, Dr. Parham has been a leader in advancing healthcare.
Vivian Parham, AGPCNP-BC
Adding to the medical care provided by Dr. Parham, Vivian Grace Parham, AGPCNP-BC, is a board-certified nurse practitioner with a post-graduate fellowship in dermatology. Vivian leads Grace Dermatology & Aesthetics and specializes in medical and cosmetic dermatology.
An alumnus of New York University and nationally credentialed by the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC), she has been prepared to provide the patient-centered care that defines her practice. Completing a rigorous Advanced Practice Fellowship under the tutelage of dermatologist and Top Doctor Jeremy Fenton, M.D.; Vivian has expertise managing skin, hair, and nail conditions. After practicing in Manhattan for several years, Vivian returned to Chattanooga, Tennessee in 2023 eager to serve the community she’s called home for over 30 years.

Can Dr. Parham refer me to specialists in Chattanooga?
With one-on-one care, Dr. Parham can quickly arrange visits to Chattanooga specialists, labs, and imaging centers – often at lower costs. While the concierge membership primarily covers enhanced primary care, a key benefit is Dr. Parham’s hands-on role in coordinating and facilitating all aspects of your specialty care.
Is Dr. Parham available outside regular office hours?
Concierge patients have direct access to Dr. Parham for urgent medical issues that arise outside regular office hours. We make every effort to respond promptly and coordinate your care when you are ill or injured. For true emergencies, always call 911 first.
What happens if I need hospitalization?
If hospitalization is ever needed, Dr. Parham coordinates your care through established admitting relationships with Memorial, Parkridge, and Erlanger. He works closely with their hospitalist teams to help ensure a smooth transition and continuity of care.
Can Dr. Parham help me if I need x-rays, bloodwork, or other labs?
Yes. We have convenient arrangements for lab work through Quest Diagnostics and LabCorp, with both insurance and cash-pay options available.
For imaging services such as X-rays, CT scans, MRIs, and other radiology needs, we work with trusted local facilities including Prime Imaging, Diagnostic Imaging, Parkridge Hospital, and others. Patients with insurance may use their coverage at these locations, while patients without insurance can utilize our discount on most services—typically 60–80% off standard pricing.
When specialty care is needed, we refer patients to physicians within their insurance networks and assist those without insurance in finding high-quality, affordable specialist care.
Membership Services & Pricing
At Parham Concierge Medicine, patients pay a recurring monthly membership fee or a charge for a specific type of care. This is done outside of the traditional insurance-based system for a more personalized and convenient healthcare experience.
