New Patient FAQs
What is concierge medicine?
Concierge medicine is a personalized approach to healthcare that gives patients direct, ongoing access to their physician through a membership-based model. This allows for longer, unhurried visits, proactive care, and a stronger doctor-patient relationship focused on thorough, compassionate care rather than rushed appointments.
What should patients bring to the first visit?
For your first appointment, please bring a list of your current medications, any medical conditions, and your preferred payment method. If you have insurance, also bring your insurance cards. Having this information helps Dr. Parham provide a thorough, personalized evaluation from the moment you arrive.
What happens during the first visit?
During your first visit, Dr. Parham will review your medical history, medications, and the primary reason for your appointment. This initial visit is designed to be unhurried, allowing time for a complete evaluation and for you to ask questions about your health.
Is any other preparation needed?
No additional preparation is required. Just bring your questions and concerns – we want to understand your health from every angle.
What payment options are available?
We accept a variety of payment methods, including debit and credit cards, FSA/HSA flex cards, Cherry credit, cash, and other negotiable forms of payment.
What is the cancellation and rescheduling policy?
We understand that life can be unpredictable. Please provide at least 24 hours’ advance notice if you need to cancel or reschedule so we can accommodate other patients while planning your care.
How are emergencies handled?
For emergencies, always call 911 or go to the nearest emergency room. For urgent medical issues outside of office hours, Dr. Parham is available by cell at 423-505-8492 to help coordinate timely care and support.
How should patients ask questions between visits?
Between appointments, the best way to reach us is by phone at 423-800-8337 or by text at 423-455-9199.
How long do appointments usually last?
Appointments are typically 10 to 30 minutes, depending on your needs. With concierge care, Dr. Parham ensures each visit is unhurried, giving you ample time to discuss your questions, review results, and receive individualized guidance.
Do you offer telehealth visits?
Yes! Telehealth and virtual appointments are available for our patients 24/7. Patients can call our office at 423.800.8337 or text us at 423.455.9199.
